Cafe Maida still feel their playoff destiny is in their hands – even if they haven’t been handling that destiny carefully enough as of late.

Back-to-back losses against fellow playoff seekers have done little to deflate the confidence of their captain, mind you. “I think it’s only one game and I’m sure we will be playing in the playoffs,” declares Jeff Capuano following the 5-1 loss against the FC Boavista Knights. “I wouldn’t be surprised if we got all nine points in the last three games of the season.”

Lucky for them that two of their last three games are against down-and-out types. Still, one has to assume FC Kevimpshhh, FC Unidos and Tutto Bene are going to defend their current playoff spots to the bitter end.

POTG: “Our top players would have to be Pep Cristiano, Damiano Mucci and David Santoianni. Pep has a crazy left foot, Damiano can shift anyone and Santo is the fastest player in the league.”
